Dune: Awakening free for a limited time

Funcom has announced a special initiative for the survival game Dune: Awakening, offering a free weekend with no restrictions from September 11 to 15, followed by a 20% discount on its price until September 22. During the free period, all players will be able to unlock an exclusive decoration called the Arrakis Rising mural, regardless of whether they already own the game.

Everything Included in the Free Weekend

From September 11 to 15, anyone will be able to enter Dune: Awakening without limitations. Unlike previous trials, this time full access to the game’s content will be offered:

• Available maps: Hagga Basin, Deep Desert, Harko Village, and Arrakeen City.
• Servers: option to play alongside those who already own the title.
• Progress: is saved and continues if the game is purchased later.

Discount Afterwards

After the free event ends, the game will maintain a special promotion: from September 11 to 22, Dune: Awakening will be available at a 20% discount, marking its first official price drop since launch.

Recent Updates: Free Expansion and DLC

The free event comes alongside brand-new content:

Chapter 2 (free update): available since September 9. Adds new missions, progress in the main story, armor, and quality-of-life improvements.

Lost Harvest (paid DLC): released the same day. Includes a standalone narrative, cosmetic items, building elements, and the unique “monowheel” vehicle.

Exclusive Reward: "Arrakis Rising" Mural

All players who join the title during the event will receive the Arrakis Rising mural, a decoration to personalize their bases. This reward will be granted both to newcomers trying the game for the first time and to existing players.
