In this guide, we explain how weapons are crafted in Hytale, what materials are required, and how the upgrade system works within the game. Weapons are a key part of progression, as they define the damage dealt and the ability to face stronger enemies as the adventure moves forward.

During the first hours of exploration, players will notice that basic weapons quickly become insufficient. To progress, it is necessary to use a specific crafting station that will be part of the entire playthrough: the Blacksmith Anvil.
To craft the anvil, the workbench must already be placed in the base. It does not need to be upgraded to unlock this recipe.
Required materials:
Once built, the anvil allows access to weapon crafting and will be a constant tool throughout the game’s progression.

When interacting with the anvil, all available options are displayed. The system is organized into five weapon categories, and each one requires different materials depending on the weapon type and tier.
The available categories are:
Each category includes multiple crafting tiers defined by the material used. The more advanced the material, the higher the weapon’s damage.

In Hytale, each weapon type has different material tiers that determine its damage and combat effectiveness. As players progress, stronger versions of the same weapon type can be crafted using more advanced materials.
Each of these weapons can be crafted using the following materials, following a progression order:
The more advanced the material used, the higher the weapon’s damage and its effectiveness against higher-level enemies.

In Hytale, there is no direct upgrade system for weapons that have already been crafted. To increase damage, players must craft a higher-tier version using more advanced materials.
This ties weapon progression to exploration, resource gathering, and choosing the weapon type that best fits each player’s combat style.

Crafting suitable weapons and advancing to higher-tier materials is a central part of progression in Hytale, allowing players to face new challenges without being limited by early-game equipment.
