Fortnite Delulu: dates, rewards, and how to activate proximity chat

Fortnite launches Delulu, a limited-time mode with proximity chat that changes the way you play. Find out when it will be available, what rewards it brings, and how to join.

What is Fortnite Delulu and how does proximity chat work?

Fortnite: Delulu is a special mode for 80 solo players, with the Zero Build mechanic (no building). The main novelty is proximity chat, which lets you talk only to those nearby on the map.

Although everyone starts solo, you can form temporary squads of up to four players. Teaming is allowed, but only one winner remains. If you leave a squad, you can immediately fight against your former teammates.

How to enable proximity chat in Fortnite

1. Open audio settings and set “Voice Chat” to “Everybody.”
2. Make sure your microphone is active.
3. On Xbox, switch from platform chat to Fortnite chat.
4. Go to Discover and select Delulu.

Fortnite Delulu event dates

The Delulu mode will only be available on two weekends:

• From September 19 to 22, 2025.
• From September 26 to 29, 2025.

Both sessions start at 15:00 CEST on Friday and end at 15:00 CEST on Monday.

Fortnite Delulu rewards

Players can unlock exclusive items:

• Crashbrella Glider: Victory Royale before September 29.
• Hiccups Emote: Watch any Fortnite stream on Twitch for 1 hour before September 22 at 06:00 CEST.
