The universe of Calamity is preparing for a new phase of technical testing, marked by the introduction of guilds. This feature brings social and strategic dynamics that change the way the game is played, allowing participants to form teams, sponsor other players, and compete together for rewards.
The main feature of this phase is the addition of guilds, a dynamic that combines social elements with scholarship or sponsorship mechanics.
Any player can create a guild and bring in members who contribute Gold to a shared treasury. This Gold will be used to purchase season passes or extra playtime, which are then allocated to scholars—players supported by the guild to progress faster.
The Gold and leaderboard points generated by scholars are distributed among guild members in proportion to their contributions. At the end of the event, any leftover Gold in the treasury and the guild’s rewards will also be divided proportionally.
Treasury management will be handled by leaders or officers, but leadership will not depend on who contributes the most. Some players may only act as sponsors, while others focus on administration or strategy.
Role | Function |
---|---|
Member | Contributes Gold to the treasury; receives benefits based on their investment. |
Scholar | Receives guild support (time or season pass) and generates Gold/points for the team. |
Leader/Officer | Manages the treasury, allocates resources, and defines strategy. |
Another major update is the change in Wyrm Tribute, which will no longer be paid in USDC but in RON, the native currency of the Ronin network. The goal is to make participation easier for both players and the Ronin community.
In addition, balance adjustments and fixes have been applied based on feedback from previous tests. The full list of changes will be published in the official changelog channel once the event begins.
The event economy will be based on the conversion of RON to Gold, set at a fixed rate of 1 RON = 500 Gold.
The event will begin with an initial pool of 2000 RON and one million Gold, seeded by the development team and expanded by player purchases.
At the end of the event, all participants will receive an airdrop proportional to the Gold in their inventory, calculated at a rate of 1 RON per 500 Gold. To qualify, players must hold at least 500 Gold.
Regarding WYRM rewards, three million tokens will be distributed across different categories:
With incentives in RON, Gold, and WYRM, and an economy designed to integrate more smoothly with the Ronin network, this event provides an ideal opportunity to test both the system’s stability and the community’s response.
