Beast of Reincarnation Beginner Guide: Best Weapons, Skills and Progression

In Beast of Reincarnation there are several progression systems. This guide presents a crit-focused build to complete the first playthrough. It starts with a parry-focused approach in the early zones and evolves into a more offensive style with Nushi Skills and Bloom Arts.

Early Game Build

Recommended Weapons

• Cirrus Sword (Impact): Increases Emma and Koo’s damage.
• Mechblade (Light): Improves the second attack and adds critical chance.
• Purity (Slash): Recovers health on hit.

Prioritize elemental weapons according to the boss’s weakness. Upgrade ranged weapons such as Zangetsu Bow or the crossbow if you have Amber available.

Recommended Armor

• Light Gambeson (5 slots)
• Thick Cuirass (good defense and poison resistance)
• Garb of Tranquility (ideal for stealth)
• Insulating Mail (lightning resistance)
• Floral Wraps (good balance and more slots)

Spirit Stones and Charms

Look for Spirit Stones with Critical Rate, Skill Damage or Attack.
Useful options: Florescent Recovery, Entangled Assassination, Onslaught.

On Koo’s Charms prioritize Critical 3. On Hard difficulty a HP Charm is better.

Emma Attributes and Skills

Initial goal: 9 Strength, 9 Florescence and 9 Vitality.

• Unlock Iaido, Instant Entanglement, Roll and Helm Splitter.
• Prioritize Expand Entanglement Gauge and Recovery Effect Boost.

Koo Attributes and Skills

• 7 Florescence → Status Effect Amp
• 9 Strength → Taunt
• 7 Vitality → Mod: Resonance

Priority Bloom Arts:

• Higanbana: Roots (with Status Effect Amp)
• Higanbana: Seeds
• Sakura: Javelin (with Resonance)

Early Game Playstyle

Avoid fighting large groups. Use stealth, ranged attacks and Binding.
Against bosses: prioritize parry, apply statuses with Koo and take advantage of damage windows with Nushi skills.

Late Game Build

Weapons

Use weapons that match the boss’s weakness.
Shark Cutter is a good generic option due to its critical bonus on parry.

Armor

• Ornate Robe (low awareness)
• God Tree Guard (high defense and resistances)

Priority Spirit Stones

• Transcendent Bloom
• Entanglement Stone
• Florescent Recovery
• Stones with Critical Rate (Entangled Assassination, Entangled Parry, etc.)

You can farm Blighted Spirit Stones in the Crater region.

Emma Attributes and Skills

Reach at least 18 Strength, 15-18 Florescence and 15 Vitality.

Prioritize:

• Maxing Blade Art: Kiku and Finisher: Kiku
• Helm Splitter / Petal Barrage
• Roll and Magic Bullets

Koo Attributes and Skills

Reach 18 Florescence, 18 Strength and 15+ Vitality.

Prioritize:

• Status Effect Amp + Full Bloom Crit
• Maxing Improved Binding and Higanbana: Roots
• FP Cost Down and Sakura: Javelin

Late Game Playstyle

Against normal enemies: use Helm Splitter or Iaido to control groups.
Against bosses: create an opening with parry or Binding, then execute the Kiku combo (RB → RB → X → X + Finisher).
When you have full FP, use Sakura: Javelin for a big critical hit.

With this build you will be able to complete the first playthrough consistently.
