The "Festival of Beasts" is back. The TFT Set 4.5 Revival brings back the nostalgia of one of the most beloved and chaotic mechanics in Teamfight Tactics: the Chosen.

In this meta, flexibility is vital, but knowing the strongest paths is the difference between a Top 4 and an eighth place. Whether you prefer aggressive reroll or playing for economy to find cost-4 units, these are the four best compositions currently dominating the board.

Explore the treasure map and find rewards in La Garra

1. Divine Duelists (Yasuo Reroll)

This composition is the queen of early tempo. If you find a Chosen Yasuo at the start, it is your signal to commit.

The Game Plan: Speed and Stability

Our match begins with a clear mission in the Early Game: hunting for Duelist units. We are not looking to level up aggressively yet, but rather to stabilize a solid board with Yasuo, Fiora, Janna, Jax, and Kalista.

The key to this strategy is aggressive patience: we want to get all cost 1 to 3 units to three-star level whenever possible. If you master the reroll here (rolling the shop without dropping below 50 gold at low levels), you will have half the game won thanks to the pressure you will exert on your rivals.

The Arsenal: Crits and Absurd Speed

For this composition to shine, we need to turn our protagonists into monsters:

  • Yasuo (The Protagonist): We will equip him with Infinity Edge, Hand of Justice, and Edge of Night. This trinity gives him damage, healing, and that extra survivability so he doesn't explode at the start of combat.
  • Kalista (The Machine Gun): Here we will be greedy. We aim to equip her with 3 Guinsoo's Rageblades. Yes, three. We want her attack speed to scale to infinity, turning her into an unstoppable turret that executes enemies with her spears.

The Final Board: The Perfect Evolution

Towards the end of the game, our base lineup evolves by welcoming heavy hitters. Your definitive board should look like this:

Yasuo, Fiora, Janna, Jax, and Kalista + Shen, Lee Sin, and Yone.

Note (Late Game): When Lee Sin enters the field, his function is not to deal damage, it is to eliminate problems. It is vital to give him mana generation or speed items so he can "cast" his ultimate quickly. A timely kick can knock the enemy's strongest tank off the map and win you the round.

2. Chosen Brawlers + Xayah

The Game Plan: Infinite Endurance

This composition is based on a simple premise: being immortal while our backline does the dirty work.

In the Early Game, we will build a wall with Maokai, Lulu, Nunu, and Shyvana. As soon as the shop allows, we will add Cho'Gath to consolidate that brute force.

  • The Transition Trick: Since our real carry (Xayah) arrives late, it is vital at the start to designate a temporary "item holder". Look for any backline damage unit that can hold Xayah's items and keep you alive until she appears.

The Arsenal: Crits and Pure Resistance

The item distribution is clear: tankiness in front, shredding in the back.

  • Xayah (The Executioner): When she hits the board, she must inherit Infinity Edge, Spear of Shojin, and Last Whisper. This combination allows her to throw her feathers quickly and ensure every hit hurts, ignoring rival armor.
  • Cho'Gath (The Beast): He will be our main wall. We will equip him with Gargoyle Stoneplate, Warmog's Armor, and Dragon's Claw. We want him to be a giant nuisance that absorbs all possible damage.

The Final Board: Brute Force

In the late game, our strategy culminates with a lineup that mixes massive endurance and execution damage. Your ideal board should look like this:

Maokai, Tahm Kench, Vi, Nunu, Shyvana, Cho'Gath + Xayah and Sett.

This set is characterized by having several Assassin compositions that jump towards the carries, so to cover our Xayah, we will place Tahm Kench and Maokai in the backline, splitting the Assassins and defending her properly.

3. Axe and Fury (6 Slayers / Olaf & Tryndamere)

The Game Plan: Cultists Power and Fast 8

This composition is not for those who hesitate; it is a textbook Fast 8 (leveling quickly to level 8 while managing economy).

In Stage 2 (Early Game), our best opening will be using early Cultists (Elise, Twisted Fate, Pyke) and adding a Zed or a worthy item holder for the Slayer class. If you don't get a perfect "Chosen" at the start, keep an open mind: a cost 4-5 Chosen later is better than marrying a bad one now.

  • Transition (Stage 3): Upon reaching level 6, reinforce your frontline with tanks. If you need to survive, strong mid-game units like Katarina, Shyvana, or Akali can hold items temporarily.

The Arsenal: Brutal Physical Damage

Here we seek to equip our Vikings to clean up the board.

  • Olaf (The Protagonist): Aim to equip him with Edge of Night, Guinsoo's Rageblade, and Titan's Resolve. He needs to attack fast and survive damage focus.
  • Tryndamere (The Lethal Spin): Your second carry. Works excellently with Bloodthirster, Edge of Night, and Titan's Resolve.
  • Samira (The Finisher): She will receive "the leftovers". Any extra physical damage items you get in the late game go to her.

The Final Board

Your goal is to reach at least 6 Slayers combined with utility synergies like Vanguard or Cultist. Prioritize finding Olaf or Tryndamere as your "Chosen" unit upon reaching level 8. Your ideal lineup should look like this:

Pyke, Darius, Sivir, Aatrox, Olaf (Chosen), Tryndamere, Lee Sin, Ornn, and Samira.

4. The Magic Bomb (Vanguard Mystic Neeko)

The Game Plan: Slow Roll at Level 7

This strategy is a classic "Cost 3 Reroll" and very consistent to execute.

In the Early Game (Stage 2), our priority is to survive using early Vanguards (Garen, Wukong) and a strong Ability Power (AP) item holder. A solid start includes Diana, Garen, Wukong, and Teemo.

  • The Mission: Keep any Neeko you find from the beginning.
  • Transition (Stage 4): Upon reaching level 7, stabilize your economy and Slow Roll (rolling gold above 50) to look for Neeko 3-stars. It is vital to activate the Fabled trait with Neeko, Nautilus, and Cho'Gath to maximize their abilities.

The Arsenal: Explosions and Tankiness

Neeko will be our heavy artillery, protected by an impenetrable wall.

  • Neeko (The Protagonist): Needs to cast her spell many times and ensure every hit is critical. Equip her with Spear of Shojin, Archangel's Staff, and Jeweled Gauntlet. If you don't get the staff, a Hextech Gunblade is a great alternative for healing.
  • Cho'Gath (The Wall): He leads the frontline. The best items for him are Warmog's Armor, Spirit Visage, and Protector's Vow.
  • Sett (The Boss): If you have leftover damage or tank items in the late game, they go to him.

The Final Board: Immortality and Area Damage

Your goal is a balanced composition that combines the physical resistance of Vanguards with the magic defense of Mystics. Your ideal final board looks like this:

Janna, Nautilus, Yuumi, Neeko (3 Stars), Shen, Sejuani, Cho'Gath, Sett, and Zilean.

Pro Tip: If you get a Vanguard Emblem, place it on Shen to reach the 6 Vanguard mark or free up space for more Mystics. Regarding positioning, if Sett has items, you can place him alone in the front line so he takes damage quickly, does his sit-ups, and returns charged to the fight.

Conclusion: Mastering the TFT Set 4.5 Revival

The TFT Set 4.5 Revival rewards players who know how to adapt to what the shop offers them. Remember that the Chosen mechanic is powerful, but treacherous: don't be afraid to sell your cost 1 Chosen in stage 4 to look for a cost 4 one that defines your game.

May RNG be on your side and your golden units shine on the board.
