Do you like mystery games? Solving crimes? Justice? And above all... bears? If your answer is yes, then you're in the right place. Today we'll be talking about the upcoming visual and gameplay remaster from Spike Chunsoft: Danganronpa 2×2.
But first, as always, let's lay the groundwork:
Danganronpa is a Visual Novel / Point-and-Click game series set in a prestigious school known as Hope's Peak Academy. The academy is reserved for students who have surpassed ordinary people in a particular field. Throughout the series, they are known as Ultimate Students. Each student has spent their entire life mastering a unique talent, becoming the very best in that field. A good example is Toko Fukawa, who began writing novels at a young age. Her success earned her the title of Ultimate Writing Prodigy, making her the world's greatest writer.
But... what are the students doing there? The story follows 15 students who are captured and forced by a talking bear to kill one another in order to escape the academy. However, escaping isn't that simple. To leave, they must commit murder without being discovered. Each game takes place in a different setting, but to better understand the series, we'll use the first title, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, as our reference.

The remake focuses on the second game in the series, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, where the story takes place on a tropical island. The premise remains the same: 15 students must kill one another in order to earn their freedom. This remake includes:
The rest is something you'll have to experience for yourself. Danganronpa is a series best enjoyed without spoilers, whether you play alone or with friends. If you'd like to learn more about everything included in the remake, you can easily find the official information online.
Now I'd like to introduce a personal section that I'd like to make my signature in future articles:
I won't reveal anything else, Danganronpa is a series best experienced by uncovering each mystery yourself, drawing your own conclusions, deciding who to trust... and accepting that you won't always be right. I'll leave you with one tiny spoiler...
