Pixelmon, known for its monster-collecting gameplay and anime-inspired style, announced a partnership with Avalanche to expand its ecosystem through new Web3 infrastructure. This collaboration begins with the launch of its mobile game: Warden’s Ascent, a dark fantasy RPG for iOS and Android.
Pixelmon has ambitious plans to build a comprehensive intellectual property (IP) ecosystem on the Avalanche network, including:
Warden’s Ascent will be the first title released under this partnership. Set in the world of Nova Thera, players will discover, hatch, and evolve over 100 unique creatures, facing challenging campaigns and competitive PvP modes. It features “gacha” mechanics and deep strategic elements.
“By launching on Avalanche’s C-Chain, we can offer blockchain features quickly and seamlessly. In the future, we’ll migrate to our own custom Layer 1 based on Avalanche,” explained Giulio Xiloyannis, CEO of Pixelmon.
Avalanche has proven its capabilities as a Web3 gaming network, with over 6 million active wallets and 3 million monthly users. Its scalable structure enables smooth experiences, and its presence is growing especially in the Asia-Pacific region, where Pixelmon already has a strong community.
The combination of Pixelmon’s mobile-first approach and Avalanche’s blockchain infrastructure aims to lead the Web3 space, particularly in key markets like Japan, South Korea, India, and Indonesia.
“Pixelmon represents a new kind of franchise where players don’t just consume content — they build it with us,” commented Parker Heath, Head of Gaming at Ava Labs.
