Ronin has begun migrating its bridge infrastructure to Chainlink CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol), a protocol approved by the network’s validators in 2023 as the new standard for cross-chain interoperability. This decision aims to improve the ecosystem’s security and scalability by fully replacing the legacy Ronin Bridge.
The transition to CCIP will occur in three main stages:
The Ronin Bridge with CCIP enables secure transfers between Ronin and compatible chains, using Chainlink infrastructure. This integration enhances fund security and improves compatibility with assets and applications from other networks.
No downtime is expected during the migration process, though minor disruptions may occur. The CCIP bridge will remain fully operational throughout the transition.
Currently, the CCIP bridge supports the transfer of the following assets:
Additional tokens may be added progressively in the future.
Ronin recommends that developers and centralized platforms:
GO TO THE BRIDGE |
By adopting Chainlink CCIP as its only bridge infrastructure, Ronin aims to strengthen asset transfer security and enable new expansion opportunities into other blockchain ecosystems. The migration will be completed by April 25, marking the final deprecation of the legacy bridge and the beginning of a new phase for the network.
