The competitive universe of Wildcard is preparing for one of its most important milestones. The studio behind the game has launched the “Road to DreamHack” series — a circuit that will culminate in a live final during DreamHack Atlanta 2025, from October 31 to November 2.

This initiative marks the game’s official debut on major esports stages, combining online tournaments, open qualifiers, and an in-person showdown featuring prizes, rewards, and full travel support for the finalist teams.
Wildcard is an action-strategy title that merges third-person combat with card-based mechanics and cooperative gameplay. Two players team up in intense 2v2 battles, deploying creatures and abilities through customizable decks.

The game, currently in early access on Steam, has gained attention for its hybrid mix of strategy and competitive action. Now, with its debut at DreamHack Atlanta, the studio aims to strengthen its community and establish the foundation for a professional esports scene.
The “Road to DreamHack” series, announced on August 6, 2025, unfolds through several stages leading up to the live grand final:

Prize distribution will be as follows: $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second, and $500 for both third and fourth place.
Wildcard matches are played in a 2v2 format, where each team selects different champions. However, both teams are allowed to use the same champions if they choose.
To participate, players must be at least 18 years old and register through the game’s official platforms. Teams qualifying for the finals receive travel support of up to $1,500 per player, covering transportation, accommodation, and meals during the event.

Additionally, all participants — both online and in-person — unlock an exclusive in-game skin, a symbolic reward that reinforces community identity among competitors.
DreamHack Atlanta 2025 will take place from October 31 to November 2 at the Georgia World Congress Center, one of the largest convention venues in the southeastern United States.
The event gathers thousands of attendees for tournaments, exhibitions, free-play zones, cosplay, and live performances. The inclusion of Wildcard within this environment marks a significant step into the international esports circuit.
Beyond the prizes, this competitive series represents a defining moment for the Wildcard community. The event not only promotes structured competition but also strengthens the connection between developers and players.
As an early access title, tournaments like this provide valuable feedback to refine balance, champions, and gameplay systems before the full launch. Moreover, the financial support for finalists encourages participation from players across the globe, including Latin America and other regions.

The “Road to DreamHack” positions Wildcard as an emerging contender within the esports landscape. Its presence at DreamHack Atlanta 2025 symbolizes the transition from a growing community to a professional, structured scene — one with clear incentives, defined rules, and a long-term vision for the game’s competitive future.
