Wilder World Dev Log 17 marks a key transition for the project. The game moves beyond a purely experimental phase and begins operating as an active service with real players, a functioning economy, and systems validated under real conditions.

During this cycle, core features such as the Avatar Selector, the Garage Selector, and the Open World Preview were launched, allowing players to explore the connected city of Wiami for the first time as a continuous playable environment.

Open World Preview: First Playable Version of Wiami

The Open World Preview launched on December 19, 2025 as an initial version focused on a district called Nexus.

Currently:

  • 250 players are testing the environment.
  • Access is phased and invitation-based.
  • The experience is centered on individual exploration.
  • Multiplayer will arrive progressively.

This first iteration includes:

  • Seamless driving with no loading screens
  • Dynamic missions called Breaches
  • Active NPCs across the entire city
  • AI traffic system
  • Functional vehicles

Limiting the map to a single district allows performance, system behavior, and balance to be validated before expanding the rest of the island.

Packs: Functional NFTs and WILD Burn

One of the central points of Wilder World Dev Log 17 is the launch of Season One Packs.

Main features:

  • Total: 108,000 Packs
  • Price: 150 WILD each
  • 100% of WILD used is permanently burned
  • 54,000 Packs allocated to gameplay rewards
  • 54,000 Packs available for direct purchase

Each Pack contains three functional and tradable NFTs:

  • Avatar components
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Weapons and accessories

Rarities are divided into six categories: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and WILD.

Season One items will not be reissued, establishing permanent scarcity.

Garage System and New Physics Engine

The Garage Selector allows players to choose from 50 vehicles and drive six of them in the Open World.

A new physics engine was also introduced, fully redefining vehicle behavior.

It includes:

  • Per-wheel modeling
  • Real-time adjustable traction control
  • Automatic and manual transmission
  • Controlled drifting support
  • Performance group adjustments (D, C, B, A, GTW, S)

An engine tuning system was also added, where upgrades affect the power-to-weight ratio and can change a vehicle’s category.

In the future, the system will include:

  • Tuning parts marketplace
  • Configuration simulator
  • Class-segmented racing events

Breach Mission System and Gameplay Loop

The Breach system connects exploration and combat.

The cycle works as follows:

  1. The player spawns in their apartment.
  2. Reviews the mission.
  3. Heads to the vehicle.
  4. Drives to the objective point.
  5. The Breach activates.
  6. Engages 4–8 enemies.
  7. Completes objectives and closes the portal.

Breaches are dynamic and will expand with additional variations and rewards.

NPCs and AI Traffic

Wiami features approximately 3,500 active NPCs distributed across streets, interiors, and transit areas.

Behavior changes depending on the situation:

  • They react to player speed.
  • They flee when combat begins.
  • They adjust behavior in response to gunfire or collisions.
  • Density can be modified through graphics settings.

The AI traffic system includes:

  • Functional lanes and traffic lights.
  • Real-time reaction to collisions.
  • Visible vehicle damage.

Super Early Access: Real Growth

Since the previous Dev Log:

  • Up to 2,500 daily active players.
  • Consistent weekly and monthly growth.
  • Implementation of daily mission system with WILD rewards.
  • Lobby limit reduced to 8 players to improve performance.

This confirms the project is now operating as a live service.

Key Technical Updates

Among the highlighted improvements in Wilder World Dev Log 17:

  • Update to the latest NVIDIA DLSS version
  • Memory optimization with daily reports
  • New simplified building collision system
  • Full gamepad support with cursor navigation
  • Vehicle HUD implementation

Fuel stations, repair stations, and NOS refill stations were also added to the Open World.

Future Concepts and Expansion

The team is working on:

  • A new enemy archetype called Cultist
  • Hoverboard as an alternative mobility option
  • Deployable weapons such as turrets and drones
  • Tuning simulator
  • Multiplayer expansion in Q2

The public Open World launch is planned for the second quarter.

What Does Wilder World Dev Log 17 Mean for the Project?

This cycle represents a definitive step toward a persistent game structure with:

  • Active economy
  • Scalable infrastructure
  • Systems validated in real environments
  • Progressive integration of on-chain assets

The current focus is expansion, stability, and public access.
