AMA Summary 10/16/2024 and first updates of Chapter 2.5

As promised, on October 15th the first changes arrived to Terra Villa that hope to balance and improve the game mode that was broken with Chapter 2 within Pixels, in this summary you will find each of the updates and the most important data provided in the AMA.

Metrics and Updates

• DAU (Daily Active Users) have dropped a bit, but income remains stable. This means that there is still a demand for the token, however, it needs to be improved by providing more utility to it.
• The October 15th update was the first in the 2.5 series, intended to be a series of smaller updates. Bi-weekly changes are expected as the maximum waiting time.
• Next week's update will include Task Board v2, Reputation System v2, new Energy and Coin prices as priorities.
• Changes are being made to Energy and Coin prices to improve gameplay. It seems that the game itself will set the standard price for Coins and Energy, however, it is not yet clear how this will be achieved. (A value use for the token is possible)

Pixel Ecosystem

• Initial response to Pixels Tap Track has been positive. This means being able to attract new users to the ecosystem in an economical way.
• Pixels player stats are expected to be linked to Pixels Tap.
• Progress is being made on land ads.

Questions and Answers

• Where does the team's income come from? Is it in $PIXEL tokens? Income is generated in $PIXEL tokens, but the core team is small and lives off capital gains for now. In-game, we always want more $PIXEL to be spent within the ecosystem than is distributed.
• Why hasn't Barneys Bazaarn reputation been added yet? Bazaarn reputation will be included in the new reputation system, which will be more complex. This is due to a complication with the last update that attempted to implement reputation and was glitchy.
• Will wine cellars be removed from Terra Villa? Wine cellars will not be removed, but the intention is to make wines non-tradable, transforming the trading meta within the game. It is not yet known how wine cellars will work in NFT lands.
• Will Chapter 2 focus on the task board, coin inflation, reputation review, or energy review? It will focus on all of these aspects, as they are core systems that interrelate.
• What's in the future for pets? A pet app is in the works. There has been no new information regarding mints, however, in previous AMAs, it was clarified that pets can be event rewards, so you should keep an eye out for that.
• When will recipes be rebalanced? It could be implemented in the update after next week.
• Will industry maintenance be implemented? This is one of the strongest bets to streamline the game's mechanics, but at the same time, it is one of the issues that requires the most study, because if it is not achieved well, it can affect players who own several NFT lands. Other elements such as industry limits, broken tools, and gacha mechanics will also be implemented.
• Can we talk about the Halloween event? It's still in development, but there will be two different events, including a Halloween party at the end of the month hosted by YGG. There may be community rewards coming with these events or new reputation points which are always welcome, more so now with the new reputation mechanics coming soon.

Getting started with Chapter 2.5

• WATER-SPACE FLOWERS AND CROPS: Land Flowers can only be planted on NFT lands. Space Flowers and Astracactus can only be planted on NFT Space farms Water Flowers and Watermint can only be planted on NFT water farms

• MILL: Unit(TV mill) and dozen flour(NFT mill only) are now crafted at windmills and grant trade skill XP.

• BARNEY'S QUEST UPDATES:

• 10 second craft with blueberry jam
• Deliver only 1 popberry jam via the task board
• Added a small mining step before the door opens
• Completing Barney's triggers triggers 2 of the newbie quests (these quests are also triggered by talking to the NPC).

• MASS DEAD CROP REMOVAL: Up to 9 dead crops can now be removed at once

• 7 new newbie quests have arrived that can be triggered with the following characters:

• Bucks, who can be found at Buck's Galore. Buy the moving tool, only after talking to him.
• Jack, he is located right in front of the Sauna. Bring 3 Whittlewood Logs (tier 1).
• Sandy, next to the Pixels HQ building. 1 tree log and 2 Clayum Matrix.
• Smith, on the other side of Pixels HQ, just above the market. Bring 3 copper ores to Smith.
• Gill, he's the TV mill guide. Bring 2 rainbow grains to the mill to process them.
• Tex, in front of the bank entrance. Bring 6 silk fibers and 4 silk slimes.
• Winona, always next to the wine cellar. Bring 24 Popberries, 10 cooking mixes and 3 honeys.
  

The Pixels team's promises have begun to become reality, which brings a new and better outlook to the ecosystem, a breath of fresh air that inspires us to continue investing in the game, because although it is not going through its best moment, the effort to continue being a reference within the web3 gaming ecosystem is evident.
