Epic Games is entering the final stretch of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2, a season centered on the conflict between The Foundation and Ice King. With only a few days remaining before the seasonal transition, the company has already begun revealing some details about the content that will accompany the launch of Season 3, while leaks and reports from specialized media outlets have hinted at possible collaborations and thematic elements.

Epic Games has confirmed that the live event marking the end of the season will be called "Shattered". According to the available information, the event will take place on June 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The showdown will focus on the final battle between The Foundation and Ice King, two of the main characters driving the current storyline.
One of the most notable aspects of the event is that the experience could vary depending on the decisions made by each player throughout the season, specifically based on the faction they chose between Team Foundation and Team Ice King.

If fully implemented, this mechanic would make "Shattered" one of the few Fortnite events to feature personalized narrative variations for players. Following the conclusion of the event, the servers are expected to enter maintenance in preparation for the launch of the next season.
Several specialized sources agree that the new season will begin between June 5 and June 6, 2026, depending on the region and the duration of server maintenance. The structure of the current Battle Pass also suggests that Season 2 will conclude during that period, following Epic Games' usual seasonal schedule.

In addition, various reports indicate that Season 3 will be internally identified as Season 41 and will carry the tagline "RUNNERS", although Epic Games has not yet released a complete overview of its upcoming features.
Leakers and gaming media outlets have pointed to multiple clues suggesting a tropical setting or one inspired by Pacific islands. Among the hints are summer-themed skins appearing in internal Epic Games surveys, references to volcanoes on the map, and several social media posts made by Fortnite developers.
Some community theories even suggest a Hawaii-inspired setting, although this information remains speculative and has not been officially confirmed by Epic Games.
Epic Games has not yet officially revealed the Season 3 Battle Pass. However, several leaks from sources that have accurately predicted previous Fortnite collaborations have identified a few names that could appear in the near future.
The collaboration gaining the most attention in recent weeks is the one involving Skeletor and the Masters of the Universe franchise.

The main reason is that the franchise's upcoming film is scheduled to premiere around the same time Season 3 begins, aligning with previous leaks suggesting a crossover between the two brands.
Another collaboration frequently appearing in leaks is Kingdom Hearts. Although no official images or recent data-mined files have surfaced, several insiders claim that the project remains in development and could debut during this season or in future updates.
Following the recent arrival of several Overwatch skins in Fortnite during Season 2, some reports suggest that Epic Games could expand the collaboration by introducing additional heroes in future updates.
