JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit is a strategic mobile RPG based on Hirohiko Araki's manga and anime. The game brings together characters from different parts of the franchise, from Phantom Blood to Stone Ocean, and allows players to form teams of five units to complete PvE content and face other players in PvP.

For those just starting out, knowing which characters are available, which Stand each one uses, and how the combat types work is important for building a balanced team.
Golden Spirit uses a collection system in which characters have different rarities and abilities. Units are divided into R, SR, and SSR, while also having their own stats, abilities, and a combat type that determines part of their role within the team.
The game also includes several progression systems. Characters can improve their abilities, equip items, progress through development upgrades, and enhance their respective Stands. Therefore, obtaining a higher-rarity unit does not mean it can be used in isolation: team composition and the combination of abilities also play an important role.
Each group can consist of five characters. In addition, having at least three different combat types allows players to activate the RUSH mechanic, so it is advisable to avoid building teams composed exclusively of units from the same category.
Golden Spirit classifies its characters into six types: Defense, Assault, Agility, Ranged, Special, and Support. Each one has a passive characteristic that affects its behavior during battles.
For a new player, a balanced composition is more useful than accumulating characters with the same role. A combination of defense, damage, and support can cover different situations while also making it easier to activate RUSH.
The Golden Spirit roster includes characters from different parts of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Among the characters identified in the current version are Jonathan Joestar, Caesar Zeppeli, Joseph Joestar, Muhammad Avdol, Koichi Hirose, Giorno Giovanna, Bruno Bucciarati, Guido Mista, Narancia Ghirga, Diavolo, and several antagonists.

Giorno is one of the central characters of Golden Wind and uses Gold Experience, a Stand capable of giving life to objects and creating organisms.
Within the game, Giorno belongs to the Support type, allowing him to fulfill a role different from that of a conventional attacker. His presence is particularly relevant for teams looking to combine damage with support tools.
Bruno uses Sticky Fingers, whose power revolves around creating zippers on objects and surfaces.
In Golden Spirit, he belongs to the Agility type. His kit includes abilities that allow him to quickly move toward targets and apply control effects. His ultimate, for example, can deal high damage, remove enemy buffs, and apply stun.
Caesar is one of the main users of Hamon in Battle Tendency. Unlike later characters who rely on a Stand, his abilities are related to this combat technique.
In Golden Spirit, he belongs to the Ranged type, which fits a role focused on attacking from a distance.
Avdol uses Magician's Red, a Stand associated with fire and area attacks.
The character is classified as Special, allowing him to provide tools that differ from units focused exclusively on physical damage or durability. His presence is useful for understanding how Golden Spirit adapts the characters' original powers to a strategic system.

Joseph appears at different stages of the franchise and uses Hermit Purple during Stardust Crusaders. His style is based on information, manipulation, and attacks using the Stand's vines.
In Golden Spirit, he belongs to the Support type, reflecting a role more focused on complementing the team than acting as its main source of damage.
Mista fights using Sex Pistols, a group of small Stands capable of manipulating the trajectories of bullets fired by their user.
In the game, he is classified as Special and represents an option for teams that need a unit with specific abilities and ranged damage.
During the first few hours, the priority should be progressing through the story and gradually unlocking the game's different systems. The early stages also serve as an introduction to its mechanics and allow players to obtain resources for summoning and upgrading characters.
An initial formation can focus on three objectives: durability, damage, and support. Added to this is the need to use at least three different combat types to activate RUSH. For this reason, units should not be selected based solely on their rarity.

It is also recommended to concentrate resources on a small group of characters instead of trying to upgrade every unit obtained at the same time. As new characters are unlocked, less useful members can gradually be replaced and the formation adjusted according to the content.
The Stand is an important part of each character's identity, but Golden Spirit has other elements that determine their usefulness. Before investing resources, it is worth checking rarity, combat type, abilities, stats, and compatibility with the rest of the team.
The composition can also change depending on the game mode. A unit that performs well in the story will not necessarily have the same performance in PvP or against certain bosses.
Golden Spirit also features different PvE content, bosses, and PvP battles, so building several specialized teams may be more useful in the long term than trying to create a single formation that works for every situation.
