Castle of Blackwater

Castle of Blackwater is a 2D social deduction game set in a magical castle full of mystery and deception. Up to 10 players are divided into three factions, each with a unique role and special abilities that influence their playstyle. Players can complete tasks, form alliances with hidden teammates, or deceive others by pretending to cooperate while sabotaging and eliminating their opponents.

Main Mechanics

Players must complete tasks, deduce who the traitors are, and survive in the castle. They are divided into three main factions: Protectors, Satanics, and The Forgotten. Each faction has different objectives, creating a complex and strategic gameplay dynamic.

• Protectors: Focus on completing tasks and identifying malicious players.
• Satanics: Infiltrate and sabotage, eliminating players while trying to remain undetected.
• The Forgotten: Characters with unique win conditions that can change the course of the game.

The game takes place in day and night cycles, with nighttime providing opportunities for stealth and assassination. You can also play casual matches with online players or create your own game to play with friends.

Tasks and Mini-games

Players can obtain tasks from the Task Book, located in the castle lobby. These tasks grant experience (XP) and vary in difficulty. Each completed task returns to the available task pool, though not immediately, to prevent excessive repetition.

Task options:

• Select task: Players can choose a specific task from the Task Book.
• Quick task: If they are far from the book, they can receive a random easy task from the user interface.

Ghost Experience

Death is not the end in Castle of Blackwater. When a player is eliminated, they become a ghost and can move freely around the map. Ghosts can:

• Listen to conversations of living players.
• Communicate with other ghosts in the Afterlife Chat.
• Collect phantom souls to spend in the Ghost Shop.
• Follow living players and observe their movements.

Living players can also collect souls, but only during the night cycle if they stay in the castle instead of going to the safe zone. Souls allow them to purchase boosts that can influence the match.

Characters

Protectors

They follow the teachings of Earlwind Axelot and seek to use magic for good. Among them are:

• Lumberjack: Instantly completes an active task.
• Record Keeper: Posts notes in the lobby.
• Knight: Protects other players with a shield.
• Nightwatcher: Becomes invulnerable for 15 seconds.
• Sheriff: Can detect corpses and track killers.
• Vigilante: Can eliminate a player, but if they are wrong, they die as well.
• Mentalist: Investigates the status of other players.

Satanics

They follow Kazamir Doomsgrail, seeking chaos and destruction.

• Silencer: Silences a player for one round.
• Psychic: Blocks access to a room.

The Forgotten

Chaotic characters with unique win conditions.

• Werewolf: Traps their prey in the castle at night and must complete specific tasks and assassinations to win.

Token and NFTs

The $COBE token is the core of the game's economy. It is used for internal transactions, staking, and rewards. It is available on platforms like Seedify, Avalaunch, and NeoLaunch.

The game features characters as NFTs on the Ethereum and Avalanche blockchains, enabling verifiable ownership and trading in compatible marketplaces.
