Minecraft will once again release exclusive capes for its community, this time as part of the activities surrounding TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026 and the upcoming edition of Minecraft LIVE. Mojang confirmed the arrival of two different cosmetic rewards: the Builder Cape and the Crafter Cape, each with a different unlock method.

While one of them will be available worldwide through the online event, the other will be reserved exclusively for players attending TwitchCon in the Netherlands in person.
The Builder Cape will be the most accessible option for the global Minecraft community. According to Mojang, the cape will be obtainable during the special Minecraft LIVE broadcast scheduled for May 30, 2026.

Although the developer has not yet revealed the exact unlock process, it confirmed that all details will be announced during the official livestream. At the moment, there is no confirmed information about whether the cape will require completing a challenge, interacting on social media, or simply watching the broadcast.
Minecraft LIVE will be streamed directly from TwitchCon Rotterdam and will begin at 11:30 a.m. EDT and 5:30 p.m. CEST. In countries such as Colombia, the event will start at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The second reward will be significantly more limited. The Crafter Cape will only be available for players attending TwitchCon Rotterdam 2026 in person.
To obtain it, attendees will need to participate in different activities organized inside the “Minecraft Village”, a themed area dedicated entirely to Minecraft during the event.

The system will work through a physical card known as the “Inventory Ribbon”. As attendees complete challenges or activities, they will receive emerald stickers to fill the card. Once the experience is completed, participants can head to the “Cape Trader” area, where staff members will verify progress and hand out a physical card containing a unique redemption code for the cape in Minecraft.
This makes the Crafter Cape one of the most exclusive Minecraft rewards announced recently, especially because it requires physical attendance at the event.
The 2026 edition of Minecraft LIVE will feature a different format compared to previous years. For the first time, the show will be broadcast directly from TwitchCon Rotterdam, which will take place between May 30 and May 31 in the Netherlands.

In addition to Minecraft-related announcements, the convention will include creator activities, live panels, interactive experiences, and themed areas dedicated to the game.
The collaboration between TwitchCon and Minecraft LIVE also explains why Mojang decided to connect both capes to the event, separating one as a global digital reward and the other as an exclusive item for in-person attendees.
