FIFA has taken another step in its Web3 strategy by integrating Core Wallet into FIFA Collect, its official digital collectibles platform.
This addition is part of the development of the FIFA Blockchain, a custom network built on Avalanche’s infrastructure, designed to improve access, speed, and scalability for its digital products.
As of August 11, 2025, FIFA Collect users can connect and transact with Core Wallet, along with MetaMask and WalletConnect. Core Wallet is the native wallet of the Avalanche ecosystem and allows direct interaction with FIFA’s new network, offering fast transactions and low fees.
This compatibility makes it easier for members of the CORE community and Avalanche users to purchase NFTs and iconic football moments within FIFA Collect.
Launched in May 2025, the FIFA Blockchain uses Avalanche’s subnet technology to provide its own infrastructure compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This shift moves away from previous solutions on Algorand and Polygon, removing the dependency on specific wallets and opening access to more widely known options in the Web3 space.
The goal is to support products such as FIFA Collect, the FIFA Rivals mobile game, and future projects that include interactive experiences, fan tokens, and loyalty programs.
The integration of Core Wallet is part of a broader plan that includes:
The alliance with Avalanche also involves Modex, the company responsible for developing FIFA Collect and managing the technical integration with the new wallets.
