Implementation of KYC Verification Process

What is KYC and What Is It For?

KYC is a process designed to verify user identity through personal documentation, helping to prevent illicit activities such as fraud, money laundering, or terrorism financing. In MapleStory Universe, it also reinforces trust when performing digital asset transactions like NFTs and fungible tokens (FT).

Available Verification Levels

• Level 0 – Access to basic features and the MSU Marketplace.
  • Daily NXPC Bridge-Out Limit: $1,000 USD
  • Restrictions: No NFT/FT wallet-to-wallet transfers, no contribution-based rewards, no DApp monetization.
• Level 1 – Requires official ID verification (name, nationality, date of birth, etc.).
  • Bridge-Out Limit: $10,000 USD
• Level 2 – Requires proof of residence.
  • Bridge-Out Limit: $30,000 USD

Note: At present, only Level 1 is available. Level 2 will be introduced after system stabilization.

How to Complete the KYC Process

• Visit the MapleStory Universe website and connect your wallet.
• Click on your profile and select Verification.
• Scan the QR code to continue the process on your mobile device.
• Once approved, you’ll receive a notification with the result.

The process is handled by external provider Argos Identity. Delays may occur during periods of high demand. Additionally, there are access restrictions based on international sanctions lists.

FT Transaction History Display Issue

A display error was detected in the MSU Marketplace affecting the view of FT transaction history. According to the official statement, transactions are processing normally, but the display may contain inaccuracies. The team is investigating and will provide an update once resolved.
