Realms of Alurya arrives on Ronin: a new chapter for Web3 gaming

On April 15, 2025, Realms of Alurya (RoA), a blockchain-based role-playing game developed by Synergy Games, announced its migration to the Ronin Network, following Treasure DAO’s decision to exit the third-party game publishing business. This move comes amid a restructuring within Treasure DAO, which has chosen to focus on its core projects and shut down support for external games.

What is Realms of Alurya?

Realms of Alurya is an ARPG (action role-playing game) that combines traditional video game elements with blockchain integration. Players explore procedurally generated dungeons, collect and craft items, manage private in-game islands, and breed or tame magical pets. The non-fungible token (NFT) system allows players to own in-game assets such as items and characters and trade them through the $ACN token-based economy.

RoA focuses on fast-paced progression and a tokenized reward system, aiming to merge the best aspects of RPGs with the benefits of decentralized ownership of in-game assets.

Why Migrate to Ronin?

The move to Ronin comes after Treasure DAO announced its exit from third-party game publishing. The main reason behind this decision was the need to cut costs and focus on key projects, such as Bridgeworld, Smolworld, and the Treasure Marketplace. RoA, being one of the largest games on the Treasure chain, now seeks a more stable and scalable environment to continue its development.

Ronin, a blockchain network created by the developers of Axie Infinity, has grown significantly in the Web3 gaming space, with over 17 million active wallets and an NFT trading volume exceeding $4.3 billion. This strong foundation, combined with a long-term support model and an active community, were key factors in RoA’s decision.

What Will Change for Realms of Alurya Players?

Hunt & Mint Event Delayed

As part of the transition, the Hunt & Mint event—originally scheduled for April 14—has been temporarily delayed. This event would allow players to earn exclusive NFTs and rewards such as the “Hunter’s Seal,” which grants in-game benefits and access to future events. Although the event was postponed, it is expected to return with technical improvements and community feedback adjustments.

The Hunt & Mint event was also set to offer $ACN tokens as rewards. These tokens are essential within the RoA ecosystem, as they are used to craft items, upgrade equipment, and perform transactions within the in-game marketplace. The $ACN airdrop, planned for Q2 2025, is still on track, although specific timing details may shift depending on the pace of the migration.

Realms of Alurya is now live on Ronin! As of April 16, 2025, the servers are open, and players can begin exploring the world of Alurya. The dungeons await, and the adventure begins now! Players can forge artifacts, breed pets, claim loot, and become legends in-game.
