Voxie Tactics, the turn-based tactical game developed by AlwaysGeeky Games, has announced a strategic collaboration with Immutable that brings the title to the Immutable Play platform. This partnership raises a key question: is the game building something similar to a “Minecraft Dungeon” within the Web3 ecosystem, or does it remain closer to its traditional tactical RPG identity?

Voxie Tactics defines itself as a grid-based tactical RPG, with turn-based battles where strategy outweighs speed. Its voxel-based aesthetic reinforces a retro-modern look, but the gameplay stays rooted in classic tactical logic.
It includes:

The training mode allows players to practice strategies and become familiar with class combinations before entering competitive combat.
The internal economy is based on Voxite, available in two variants, with a fixed conversion rate: 1 VOXEL = 100 Gold Voxite.
Voxite is used to enter modes such as Titan Arena and to participate in events, including one that distributed 2 million Voxite. The renting system allows players to rent Voxies from other users, offering access to more classes without needing to purchase them directly.
AlwaysGeeky Games announced a strategic partnership with Immutable to integrate Voxie Tactics into Immutable Play. This integration introduces:

Immutable presents this integration as part of its mission to support games that offer real digital asset ownership.
The comparison between Voxie Tactics and Minecraft Dungeon appears mostly due to their voxel aesthetic, but the core mechanics of the two games differ significantly. Minecraft Dungeon relies on real-time combat, procedurally generated dungeons, dynamic level progression, and action-focused gameplay.
Voxie Tactics, on the other hand, operates through turn-based battles on tactical grids, does not offer building or open exploration, and does not include procedurally generated dungeon systems. Its design prioritizes strategy rather than direct action.

For these reasons, despite sharing a cubic visual style, Voxie Tactics does not align with the “Minecraft Dungeon” model. The integration with Immutable also does not introduce dungeon-crawler mechanics; instead, it focuses on quests, rewards, and deeper engagement within the Web3 ecosystem.
The integration with Immutable strengthens Voxie Tactics’ tactical identity and expands its ecosystem without turning it into a dungeon-crawler or altering its strategy-driven design. The move enhances its economy, improves the player experience, and positions the game for more solid growth within the Web3 environment.
