Another week ends in Pixels and, once again, changes, surprises and revelations arrive in Terra Villa. This time, we already know how the tokenomics will work for the work team, where Luke provided a pleasant surprise. Likewise, new changes are coming to the Task Board. Find out all the news here!
Version 2.6.2, which arrived on February 18 in Pixels, introduces new features and improvements to the gameplay experience. Some of the most notable include:
In-game announcement system: Allows for more efficient communication with players. From now on, AMA summaries and all the new features that come in updates will appear here.
Keyboard shortcuts for items: Hotkeys can be assigned to items within the inventory, such as those that already worked with "B" to open the inventory, etc.
To do this, you only need to hold down a key and, as soon as the assignment announcement appears, click on the item you want to activate.
General Improvements
The Construction Cone has been removed from the Decoration Shop. Instead, its recipe has been added to the Innovation Center.
The "MAX" button has been removed from shops, limiting purchases to one backpack row at a time.
The "ESC" key now properly closes pop-ups inside shops.
Characters will now automatically move when clicking on far away objects. That is, resources, other characters, and NPCs.
Added fire animation to the Cozy Fireplace.
UGCs at the Land Gate now only display their names.
Filling chocolate sauce bottles no longer consumes energy. But they are not yet tradable.
Fixed issues with the "Top Farms" icons.
The team's token release is scheduled for March 15, with a three-year linear emission scheme. Luke has extended his unlock to five years.
The Staking system will launch at the end of March, allowing players to choose games within the ecosystem to allocate their $PIXEL.
Pixels has generated $24M in revenue and is looking to expand with more games that share data to improve P2E mechanics.
A new Substack, the new The Pixels Post, is introduced to centralize all information and news about the ecosystem.
New Pet App
Players will need to raise a pet, feeding and caring for it several times a day. The first version will be released in mid-March in a test phase, first for pet and land owners.
New earning mechanics have been introduced to benefit those who contribute to the ecosystem. The game's economy is monitored to prevent a small percentage of players from extracting the majority of the rewards.
Therefore, it is no longer just the skill level that is important, but also how one interacts with the game and how players behave, since there are those who act as mining bots.
Merchant ships are coming and will be focused on burning T3 and T4 level resources.
A rework of the VIP system is being considered to improve its value. This improvement has been requested by the community for some time now, as it has not had a direct impact on gameplay.
More elements are planned to be integrated into the game that encourage the spending of $PIXEL.
Pixels' evolution follows a long-term approach, prioritizing the sustainability of the ecosystem and the continuous improvement of the gaming experience. With these updates and adjustments, the team seeks to balance the economy, improve gameplay, and continue to innovate, while continuing to position themselves as an example of P2A.
