The Icebound Season Play Test for Calamity will take place between December 19 and December 23, 2025, as part of the Icebound Season, a series of winter events scheduled for the 2025–2026 season. This technical test marks a significant milestone in the game’s development, introducing the mobile version, a 3v3 PvP mode, and a comprehensive overhaul of PvE systems, progression, and rewards.

The Play Test will be live from Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM UTC until Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM UTC.
One important detail regarding the event’s conclusion is that the final Wyrm Tribute Gold distribution will take place on December 23 at 1:00 PM UTC, two hours before the servers shut down, at which point the final snapshot of all accounts will be taken.
During the Icebound Season, players will gain access to exclusive content designed specifically for this limited period. Available rewards include:
These items will no longer be obtainable once the season ends.

This Play Test corresponds to an Alpha version that introduces multiple new systems which have not been fully tested internally. As a result, players may encounter technical issues, extended maintenance periods, hotfixes, or rollbacks.
OTC trades (outside the application) are not recommended. In the event of a rollback caused by exploits, no refunds or compensation will be provided for external transactions.
For the first time, Calamity introduces early builds for Android and iOS, aimed at evaluating stability, performance, and the adaptation of the gameplay experience to mobile devices.

The event introduces a pilot 3v3 competitive mode, featuring matchmaking and leaderboards.
This system is still under active development and may be adjusted, temporarily disabled, or granted additional rewards if its performance during the Play Test is satisfactory.
The urban map expands with two new zones:
Factory Zone, an area whose future access will be limited to Factory holders. During the event, these players can claim daily free Factory Lootboxes, which include cosmetics, items, and new consumables usable in PvP.
Ownership is verified through the connected wallet. Dragon Hall is a new urban zone whose future access will be exclusive to Dragon Ring holders.

The PvE system receives a comprehensive revision. Dungeons now feature a new difficulty logic, a higher number of stages, and the removal of mandatory replaying of already completed stages. The backend has been optimized to allow faster balance adjustments and future updates.
On the competitive side:

The Play Test also introduces several complementary systems:

The Play Test economy is based on Gold, with a fixed rate of 1 USDC = 500 Gold.
The Wyrm Tribute Prize Pool starts at 2,000 USD / 1,000,000 Gold, seeded by the team, and increases based on player purchases. At the end of the event, players will receive a USDC airdrop proportional to the Gold they hold, with a minimum requirement of 250 Gold, distributed on the Ronin network.

A total of 3,000,000 WYRM will be distributed across multiple competitive categories:
Final allocations may be adjusted before the event begins.
Top-ranked players on the Conquest PvE leaderboard will be able to mint a seasonal cosmetic NFT, with different rarity tiers depending on placement. The Fishing Leaderboard will allow the five largest catches to mint an exclusive cosmetic NFT after the event.

All cosmetics obtained during the Play Test, including those from lootboxes, can be minted for free. Minting is required in order to keep these items after the event ends.
The Play Test also features a Content Contest focused on the mobile version and the 3v3 PvP mode. Participants can publish content on X, YouTube, or Twitch, including videos, clips, threads, or memes, and submit the link in the creative Discord channel.
Prizes include Factory NFTs, awarded both for special nominations and overall winners, selected by the team based on content quality, creativity, and clarity in showcasing gameplay.
