Riot Games has launched the closed beta for 2XKO, its new team-based fighting game set in the League of Legends universe. Starting September 9, 2025, players can access a playable version that introduces key updates in gameplay, progression, and champion unlock systems.
During this testing phase, players have immediate access to several champions such as Ahri, Braum, Darius, Ekko, Illaoi, and Yasuo. However, other characters like Jinx, Vi, and Blitzcrank must be unlocked through two systems:
This system aims to offer progression without direct monetization during the beta, although Riot has confirmed that all progress will be reset at the end of this phase, including ranked status and champion mastery.
According to official information shared on X, the beta is now live and operational (except during scheduled maintenance). For now, it’s available only on PC, and invites are being sent out gradually—players are encouraged to check their email regularly. Those who participated in the Alpha Lab already have guaranteed access, even if they previously played on console: they can now log in via PC without restrictions.
Additionally, Riot confirmed that beta participants will receive an exclusive player title once the game officially launches. The hashtag #2XKO_Bugs has also been activated on X to help the community report known issues and contribute to development.
For tournaments and in-person events, Riot has confirmed that 2XKO will feature an offline mode where all champions are unlocked from the start. This is designed to simplify competitive setups without requiring constant internet access or manual unlocks per account.
In summary, 2XKO is laying a strong foundation for its competitive community, with accessible progression systems, tournament support, and a beta that’s already generating buzz. If you’d like to participate, you can register at play2xko.com and keep an eye on your inbox.
