The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth - All Endings Guide (Part 1)

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, along with all its expansions, features 22 different endings. It is normal to feel lost at the beginning with its progression system; you will need to dedicate a good amount of hours to get them all.

Important Fact: You can keep constant track of your progress through the paper that appears in the main menu where you have your saved game. There you will see the marks of each victory obtained.

Epilogue: The Beginning

This ending is the most accessible. If you have never played the title before, it may take you some time to get used to the mechanics and learn the movements of the initial monsters.

• How to get it: Simply reach Mom's Foot and defeat it.
• Result: After completing the run, you will unlock the "The Womb" floor and now you will be able to have pacts with the angels or the demons.

Endings 1-11: The Mom's Heart Cycle

To get these eleven endings, you have to kill Mom's Heart eleven times.

• Progression: After defeating Mom's Foot, a trapdoor will open that takes you to the uterus, better known as "The Womb". On the menu paper, you will see a mark each time you defeat it.
• Unlocks: Every time you defeat the heart, you will unlock new items that will appear in your runs. The tenth time you will unlock Blue Baby and Hush.
• The transformation: After defeating the heart for the eleventh time, "It Lives" will be unlocked, who from now on will replace the heart. It is the same boss, but with Isaac's face and new mechanics.
• New paths: Upon completing the eleven endings, a trapdoor or a beam of light will appear where you can enter Sheol to fight against Satan or Cathedral to fight against Isaac.

Ending 12: Satan

This ending is unlocked after defeating Satan for the first time.

• How to get it: You have to defeat Mom's Foot and Mom's Heart (now It Lives), go through the trapdoor and down to Sheol. You will have to overcome the two additional floors to reach Satan's room. Be careful, it has three phases that can complicate things if you aren't sufficiently prepared.

Ending 13: Isaac

To unlock this ending, you will have to defeat Isaac for the first time.

• How to get it: Follow the same path as in the previous ending, but standing under the beam of light to go up to Cathedral. After overcoming the additional floors, you will come across Isaac, who also has three phases.
• Progression requirement: To keep advancing in the story, you must defeat Satan 5 times to unlock "The Negative" and defeat Isaac 5 times to get "The Polaroid". These items will always appear as a reward after defeating It Lives.

Ending 14: Blue Baby (???)

• How to get it: After defeating It Lives, choose "The Polaroid" item and go up to Cathedral to fight Isaac again. Thanks to the item, after defeating him you can interact with the chest to reach Chest, a new floor where you will face "???" (Blue Baby) as the final boss.

Ending 15: The Lamb

• How to get it: After defeating It Lives, choose "The Negative" and go down to Sheol. Overcome the floors and defeat Satan. Thanks to the item, you can enter the chest to go to Dark Room, a floor where you will find The Lamb, a boss with several phases.
• Bonus fact: If you defeat this boss with Isaac, you will unlock the "Missing Poster" item, with which you can unlock another character.

Ending 16: Mega Satan

We are entering dangerous territory; this boss has many phases and a huge health bar.

• How to get it: You need the key to the golden door that is locked in Dark Room.
• The process: Enter the angel rooms and bomb the statue so that the boss appears. After defeating it, it will drop half of the key. Repeat the process to get the other half. When you have both, go to Dark Room, where the huge door behind you will automatically open, giving way to the battle against Mega Satan.
