Back at the AMA, Pixels surprised us with some big announcements. Among them, the return of Guild Wars, which promises to revolutionize the way players earn $PIXEL and participate in events. Here we tell you everything you need to know to be ready.
The first season of Guild Wars received criticism for being too intense and limited in duration. This time around, the team has listened to the community and redesigned the experience to be more strategic and less exhausting.
Guild Wars will offer weekly and seasonal rewards. Players will compete in randomly selected 50-person divisions, ensuring a balanced level of competition. Additionally, Guild Runes can be spent in a rotating shop with transparent and tempting prizes.
The total rewards amount to 15 million $PIXEL, ensuring that there is plenty at stake for all participants. The system is flexible: if adjustments are needed, these will be announced publicly, but the total amount will not be affected.
Pixels is also preparing something special for the holidays. There will be free events, and for those who enjoy gacha, new opportunities will be presented.
The Carnival is returning with surprises and some additional uses for rewards from past events. Tickets from the old carnival may be able to be used, but they will not be the main currency of the event.
Additionally, they are exploring the possibility of a Purple Christmas Tree to decorate players' virtual lands. A detail that many are eagerly awaiting!
In an innovative move, Pixels is experimenting with in-game ads. Landowners will be able to place ads and share the revenue generated, with a cost per click reaching $5. Not only does this offer a new source of income, but it also opens up possibilities to fund the community treasury.
In response to resource inflation and loss of value, new changes are coming, and between next week and the end of the year we may see the following in the meta:
The Pixels team has greatly improved the development of the game and is committed to creating a sustainable, fair and exciting ecosystem. With Guild Wars and other projects on the way, such as Merchant Ships and the long-awaited Pet Game, it promises to be a benchmark in the world of play-to-earn.
