Stranger Things is one of Netflix’s most recognized series and, over the years, its universe has expanded into the world of video games. From retro-style mobile titles to virtual reality experiences and collaborations with major franchises, the saga has kept the story of Hawkins alive beyond the screen.

These titles were developed as direct adaptations of the series. Most are available through Netflix Games on mobile devices, although some have also been released on consoles, PC, or virtual reality platforms.
Released in 2017, this is an adventure game with a top-down view and a retro style inspired by 1980s classics. It allows players to explore Hawkins after the first season and control characters such as Hopper and the kids. It includes collectibles and secret areas.
It can currently be played for free through the Netflix app on mobile devices.

Released in 2019, it directly adapts the events of the third season. It is an isometric beat ’em up with pixel art graphics and local co-op mode. It includes more than ten playable characters, along with main missions and side activities.
The original console and PC versions were removed from digital stores in 2021. Today, it is only available on mobile through Netflix Games.

This title launched in 2021 and combines match-3 puzzle mechanics with RPG elements. It features an original story and allows players to form teams with characters from different seasons, including antagonists like Vecna.
The game received updates until 2024 and remains available as a Netflix-exclusive mobile title.

Released in 2024, this is a narrative virtual reality experience that lets players take on the role of Vecna. The game unfolds across nine chapters and explores the Upside Down from a new perspective.
It is available on Meta Quest and PSVR2, with a SteamVR release planned for 2025. It also features related content within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Announced for 2025, this is a new virtual reality project that coincides with the end of the series. It focuses on key events within the Stranger Things universe. Its release has already taken place, although more details about platforms and additional content are still expected.

Among the projects that never made it to release is a narrative game developed by Telltale Games, announced in 2019. It was canceled following the studio’s closure.

In addition to its own titles, Stranger Things has appeared in several popular games through temporary events, characters, and special missions.
