The Teamfight Tactics Set 18, Enchanted Wilds, is now available on the Public Beta Environment (PBE), and players have already begun discovering which team compositions perform best during the first days of testing.

Although Riot Games will continue making multiple balance adjustments before the official release, several archetypes already stand out thanks to their consistency, scaling potential, and ability to secure Top 4 finishes. These compositions are based on early PBE matches and recommendations from high-level players and specialized websites, making them an excellent reference for anyone looking to adapt quickly to the new set.

The PBE meta can still change

As with every new TFT set, the PBE server is designed to test champions, traits, and mechanics before they arrive on the live servers. This means that stats, abilities, and synergies may receive significant balance changes through almost daily patches.

For that reason, today's strongest compositions are not guaranteed to remain the best once Set 18 reaches its official release. However, these archetypes provide a good understanding of which traits are performing well during the early testing phase.

Inferno Spellweaver

One of the first compositions to gain popularity combines Inferno's sustained damage with the powerful magic damage provided by Spellweaver.

The core strategy revolves around building a durable frontline while the spellcasters continuously deal area-of-effect damage. In addition, Inferno introduces a mechanic that improves the quality of champions appearing in the shop, making it easier to find high-cost units as the game progresses.

This composition stands out for:

  • Consistent magic damage.
  • Strong late-game scaling.
  • Excellent area damage.
  • Flexibility to add legendary units during the late game.

Solar with Lux as the main carry

Another strategy that has delivered consistent results revolves around the Solar trait, with Lux serving as the primary damage dealer.

Her ability strikes multiple enemies at once and, in addition to dealing damage, reduces the offensive power of affected opponents, making it easier to win extended fights.

It is a relatively straightforward composition to play and performs particularly well when supported by a solid frontline during the mid game.

Garra ESP

Rival

The new Rival trait, featuring Rengar and Kha'Zix, has also emerged as one of the strongest early options on the PBE.

Since it is an exclusive trait for these champions, the composition focuses on maximizing their stats and taking advantage of their ability to quickly eliminate the enemy team's key units.

It is an especially effective strategy for players who prefer assassin-style compositions with high mobility and burst damage.

Flora Fatalis

Compositions centered around Flora Fatalis have also become increasingly popular during the first days of the PBE.

This trait takes advantage of the natural-themed synergies introduced in Set 18 while offering a balanced mix of durability and damage, making it a solid choice for longer matches where players can reliably reach high-cost champions.

Primal

Primal compositions focus on building an extremely durable frontline while allowing their carries to scale throughout the match.

Although the strategy is still being tested by the community, many players already consider it one of the safest and easiest compositions to execute during the first weeks of the new set.

Lunar as a flexible secondary trait

Unlike other vertical traits, Lunar is currently being used primarily as a secondary synergy.

Many players include it to strengthen their main compositions because it can be activated without significantly changing the board, making it a highly flexible option during the mid game.

Which compositions are leading the PBE meta?

Early statistics collected by specialized platforms show that several strategies are consistently achieving strong results among high-level players. The most popular compositions currently include:

  • Inferno Spellweaver.
  • Solar with Lux carry.
  • Rival.
  • Flora Fatalis.
  • Primal.
  • Flexible variants that include Lunar as a supporting trait.
Robux
ESP

Stay adaptable as updates arrive

The PBE receives balance updates frequently, meaning the performance of these compositions can change quickly as Riot adjusts champions, items, and traits.

For that reason, the best approach during the first days of Set 18 is to use these compositions as a starting point while keeping an eye on the latest PBE updates and performance statistics published by specialized websites. Doing so will make it much easier to adapt to the evolving meta before the official release of the new set.
