Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are now available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Activision has brought both classics to modern consoles through new ports developed by Iron Galaxy, allowing two of the franchise's most beloved entries to return for a new generation.
Although the ports were announced a few weeks ago, their release arrived with little warning. However, players looking for the complete experience should know that all DLC is sold separately.
Activision confirmed that these releases are ports, not remasters.
That means both games retain their original visuals, gameplay mechanics, and multiplayer structure, with no major graphical upgrades or features such as cross-platform multiplayer.
Each title is priced at $40, and there is currently no bundle that includes both games.
PlayStation Plus subscribers can take advantage of a limited-time promotion.
Until August 6, each game is available for $20, cutting the regular price in half.
For players looking to revisit both campaigns or the classic multiplayer experience, this is the most affordable way to pick up both titles.

Additional content is not included with the base game.
Each Season Pass costs $30, although PS Plus members can purchase it for $10 during the promotional period.
Each pass includes:
As a result, PS Plus subscribers can get the complete game and its Season Pass for $30 during the promotion.

The return of Black Ops and Black Ops 2 comes as the franchise enjoys renewed attention following the launch of Black Ops 6 and ahead of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
In particular, Black Ops 2 is still considered one of the franchise's best entries thanks to its map design and the iconic Pick 10 create-a-class system, which remains highly regarded by the community.
While these ports do not introduce major technical improvements, they give a new generation of players the opportunity to experience two of the most influential shooters in Call of Duty history.
